SAN FRANCISCO (PR WEB) March 13, 2017 – Leading career and higher education resource provider LearnHowToBecome.org is releasing its ranking of the best four-year and two-year colleges in Maryland for 2017. Evaluating more than a dozen different qualitative and quantitative data points, 27 four-year schools that were ranked with Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University Maryland, University of Maryland College Park, Notre Dame of Maryland University and Mount St Mary's University coming in on top. 16 two-year schools were also highlighted; Prince George's Community College, Howard Community College, Montgomery College, Cecil College and Hagerstown Community College were ranked as the best. A complete list of the schools honored is included below.
“The schools on our list have demonstrated a strong commitment to value for their students, both before and after graduation,” said Wes Ricketts, senior vice president of LearnHowToBecome.Org. “Each is highly rated for their student resources as well as the career successes their alums experience in the years after college.”
Schools who are on Maryland's “Best Colleges” list must be institutionally accredited and not-for-profit to qualify. Individual scoring is then established based on an in-depth analysis of additional criteria such as the annual alumni earnings 10 years after entering college, student/teacher ratios, graduation rates and more.
