Student's Post-College Earnings, Quality of Degree Programs Used to Rank Best Schools

SAN FRANCISCO (PR WEB) March 16, 2017 – LearnHowToBecome.org, a leading resource provider for higher education and career information, has announced its list of the best four-year and two-year colleges in Georgia for this year. Using government-backed data analysis, 74 Georgia schools were highlighted for excellence in programs and career resources. Of the 48 four-year schools honored, Emory University, Mercer University, University of Georgia, Brenau University and Spelman College came in as the top of the list. 26 two-year schools also made the list; Athens Technical College, Bainbridge State College, Augusta Technical College, Andrew College and South Georgia Technical College were the top five. A full list of schools is included below.

“The Georgia job market is booming in 2017, and college graduates have their pick of careers in a wide variety of industries,” said Wes Ricketts, senior vice president of LearnHowToBecome.Org. “The schools on our list provide not only an exceptional education, but also employment resources that can lead to strong post-college earnings.”

To be included on “Best Colleges” list for the state of Georgia, schools must be regionally accredited and not-for-profit. Each college is also analyzed based on more than a dozen metrics that include the annual alumni earnings 10 years after entering college, availability of career counseling services, student/teacher ratio, graduation rate and financial aid availability.
