Student Services, Post-College Earnings Highlighted in Overall Ranking of College Excellence

SAN FRANCISCO (PR WEB) March 9, 2017 – Leading career and higher education resource provider LearnHowToBecome.org has released its list of Iowa's Best Colleges for 2017. Using data points such as student's post-college earnings, graduation rates and more, the site ranks Iowa's four-year and two-year colleges for overall excellence, with Allen College, Drake University, Saint Ambrose University, University of Iowa and Iowa State University as the highest scoring of 29 total four-year schools. Western Iowa Tech Community College, Northwest Iowa Community College, Hawkeye Community College, North Iowa Area Community College and Kirkwood Community College ranked highest among the 16 two-year schools on the list. Schools on Iowa's “Best Colleges” leaderboard need to meet specific base requirements to be included: all must be regionally accredited, public or private not-for-profit institutions. Additional scoring criteria is also established based on statistics and data points reported by schools annually, including alumni earnings post-graduation, tuition and fees, financial aid availability and graduation rates.
